The Freeport Wide Awake was published in Freeport, IL. By Hurlburt & Ingersoll to support Abraham Lincoln’s candidacy in 1860.  The last seven of 13 issues (beginning in August) are included here through the courtesy of the Illinois State Historical Library.

Each issue contained four tabloid-size pages.  The last issue on November 17 contains a “Lincoln Elected” broadside.
